| The Yaeger CPA review course was certainly not the first one I used. The Yaeger website makes bold claims as they state the average pass rate is 88%. I liked the fact Dr. Yaeger and his team provided access to an instructors help line. It is a valuable part of their student support system and is an 800 number. Needless to say, I made frequent use of this service and even spoke to Dr. Yaeger on a number of occasions. The teachers were tolerant and ensured all my questions were resolved before finishing the call. I found the lecture videos quite engaging and led by well qualified teachers. The videos followed a simple format where teachers explained the key practices and gave multiple choice questions and simulations. One benefit of the Yaeger system is that more lecture time is used on materials that are more likely to appear on the exam. Also worth a mention are Yaeger's cram DVDs which could be responsible for adding between 5 to 15 points to your exam scores. The cram DVDs vary in length (between 7 to 16 hours) but cover the essential sections thoroughly. The emphasis really seems to be on identifying areas you have weaknesses with and adding self-belief and knowledge to improve them. Annually, the Yaeger CPA review course is revised. It means the course is pretty much up to date and you can be assured the material is still applicable. Overall, I am very pleased with the Yaeger CPA review course as guided me to success in the CPA exam. Passing the CPA exam does not need to be difficult.
